What needs attention this week
How this works
These cards come from a rule engine that reads the menu data as of the selected date. A card appears only when its condition is true on that date — nothing carries over from another week.
Five checks run on every date:
- a quadrant move on the menu-engineering grid
- an item held in Dogs for four weeks or more
- a commodity index rising against the items exposed to it
- a margin that has fallen against its day-zero level
- a July reprice that has not recovered its margin
Severity reflects the rule and the size of the move, not a score. Warnings come first, then the rest by how recently each condition became true.
The recommended actionEach action is matched from a fixed library, keyed to the specifics of the alert — the quadrant move, the commodity, or the margin reading. The text is written and reviewed in advance, not produced by a model.
